Dr. Duncan Hulsey

Dr. Hulsey is a partner with BSCG and works with a wide range of industries including health care, universities, construction, financial services, manufacturing, utilities, and consumer products companies.

Dr. Duncan Hulsey is a partner with Blankenship and Seay Consulting Group. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from New England College and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Memphis. He completed his internship at the University of Kansas, where he taught undergraduate psychology courses, conducted research on problem gambling, and worked as psychologist. He worked at Hillcrest Behavioral Health, serving as the Clinical Director of Psychology in the adolescent psychiatric facility prior to joining BSCG.
His areas of practice include pre-employment selection, career assessment, executive coaching, succession planning, and leadership development. He is the primary facilitator and presenter for the Strategic Leader program, which has provided leadership development and coaching since 2005. An intensive, 4-day seminar, the Strategic Leader program has had over 600 participants from throughout the world.

Dr. Hulsey is a frequent speaker at business seminars, training classes, and corporate retreats. Frequent topics include Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace, the Integration of Psychology and Business, and Traits of Effective Leaders.

He works with a wide range of industries, including health care, universities, construction, financial services, manufacturing, utilities, and consumer products companies.

A native of Birmingham, Duncan serves on the Board of Directors of the Pre-School Partners, the EyeSight Foundation of Alabama, and is involved in numerous church and civic activities. Duncan and his wife Kelly have two children.

Dr. Olivia Fons

Dr. Olivia Fons is an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist who partners with organizations to solve key workplace challenges so leaders can focus on what they do best. Known for her practical insight and approachable style, Olivia works closely with her clients to address opportunities related to talent development, team effectiveness, and organizational culture.

Known for her practical insight and approachable style, Olivia works closely with her clients to address opportunities related to talent development, team effectiveness, and organizational culture.

She has worked with a diverse range of clients—from family-owned businesses and startups to Fortune 500 companies—across industries such as manufacturing, construction, healthcare, banking, education, and food and beverage. Her work focuses on pre-employment selection and leadership development through evidence-based assessments, structured interviews, and individualized coaching. Her practice also includes training, succession planning, team building, conflict resolution, job analysis, and competency modeling. Olivia frequently facilitates leadership development programs and has trained hundreds of business leaders, including executives and frontline supervisors.

In addition to her organizational consulting work, Olivia provides career counseling to students and professionals. She specializes in working with high school and college students, helping them explore academic and career paths aligned with their strengths, interests, and values.

Prior to joining Blankenship & Seay Consulting Group in 2016, Olivia earned her Master’s and Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston and her Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University. She is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Outside of work, Olivia enjoys traveling with her husband, Aaron, and spending time with their young son and rescue dog.
